FIP Playoff - SA vs Pakistan - Malaysia

MESSAGE FROM CLIVE PEDDLE, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF SA POLO, IN MALAYSIA

Hello Everyone!!

South Africa were narrowly beaten by Pakistan in their last group match going down 12.5 to 10 (we had to give them a goal and a half on handicap) the team played extremely well in patches but seemed to go to sleep in phases just when we had managed to draw level or pull back to within a goal. The result wasn’t too much of an issue as we would have had to lose by a large goal margin not to qualify for the semis. Even so, it would have been a lot sweeter to win - if we had we would have ended up number one in the order of merit. As it turned out, we were placed third with Pakistan top, followed by India, then us and Australia fourth.

Tomorrow we play India – virtually the same team that played at Val de Vie. It will be a tough one and the boys will be properly focused and hungry.

Will keep you all posted on the result.

Kind regards
Clive
